[Fortune Cats!] These 1-month-old furballs stopped everyone in their tracks 🐾 The shop owner was so grateful they've made his carpets their daily home! Cats in Turkey are cherished community guests — roaming freely, with food bowls on sidewalks and little cat houses tucked into corners in winter. In Singapore? Apart from beckoning lucky cats waving from hawker stalls and heartland shops, we have our beloved void deck community cats. 🐱 Same species, and every culture finds their reason to love them. 🎶 An evening well spent at Victoria Concert Hall Attended @dingyimusic Ding Yi Music Company's Traversing 2026 season opener - and what a way to open a season! The performances were extraordinary, led by Chief Artistic Mentor Tsung Yeh, featuring Guzheng soloist Yvonne Tay in the evocative Goddess of the Luo River; award-winning pianist Ning An and cellist Bekhzod Oblayrov. What struck me most was how the music was rooted in Chinese orchestral tradition but alive to where we are today, blending the mainstream and the avant-garde with confidence. Live orchestral music carries memory, identity and craft all at once. A reminder of why supporting our local arts and music scene matters. Congratulations to GM Zhi Wen @sooshitay and Resident Conductor Dedric Wong @wongdeli and the entire Ding Yi team on a wonderful season opener. 🏡 House Visit to Blk 79D Continued my visit to residents of Blk 79D, where I had the privilege of meeting Mr Wong, who had just moved in a few days ago. At 86 years old, he remains energetic and strong, and even keeps active through GymTonic. I also met young Kirana, who has a strong passion for learning. She is currently learning chess, math, Japanese and Mandarin on Duolingo! She is a great example of curiosity and self-driven learning from a young age.
